Hi Quack, are there any scratches on the gear lever? If the left footpeg is stuffed, the gearbox will be stuffed too! I have learnt this the hard way.
Its copped a fair bit of damage. I can use it for parts. You can keep the headlight, I'll give you $1200 cash. Email me.

That's not a bad offer Quackasaki - you probably wouldn't get much more than that in all likelyhood. I got my 2000 one at the auctions for $1800....and it wasn't that badly damaged really

well i priced a complete motor at a wreckers and was quoted nearly my asking prica alone and that motor wasnt even running. as for the gearbox, the other foot peg was taken off cos it wasnt mine and y would the gearbox be stuffed its controlled by a linkage not direct coupled.
the bike still runs and drives fine so no prob with box at all.

and hillsy u got urs so cheap at auction prob cos it was a repo or insurance right off.

$4k is a base price but all "REASONABLE" prices are considered.

thankyou for your time.

Okay, so you've test ridden it and you have taken it through all the gears under load to make sure the selector forks were not bent as a result of the crash. You did all this with a radiator that doesn't hold water..........NO THANKS![xx(]

this crash was on the oposite side to the gearbox the other rear set broke when it was being transported, i hade a rearset off of a mates zx7 on it for a while i only took it off to give it back to him. so i have test ridden it and you have taken it through all the gears under load to make sure the selector forks were not bent as a result of the incident that damaged that foot peg

Okay i will lay it out mate. 4G's for a heavily crashed 96 9r. You are livin in LA-LA land. Try ebay. The users on here are too savvy on second hand and damaged prices for you to have a chance.

Good luck.
