Always wanted the rear disk to float (like front ones do) on my GSXR.

No good reason. Just wanted them to.

So.....

I bought some floater buttons for front disks and modified them and the rear rotor to mount the disk on the floaters.

So far it seems good.

Little bit of float. No noise. No noticable pad knock off.

I'm sure it won't be long and it'll be clanging away and knocking the pads back so far I'll have no rear brakes.

I'll have found a thin 14mm wave washer for them by then and they can be "semi" floating :D

Oh and Gix11, the weight change was only 16 gramms by the time I'd removed some SS and added the alloy buttons ;)

Technically there probably is, but I doubt it will be measurable.

The idea is that the disk has a tiny bit less drag on the pads when it's not in use.

The feel of the rear brake is slightly improved also.

I have one of these coming to finish it off.......

If anyone comes across those really thin wave washers like front rotors have in them and they can get them in 14mm please let me know.

I'd love to add them (5 of them)
