running rough.....

ok i'm back on the road again after a few weeks of drivin four wheels but now the the bikes(91 gsx-r 750) is running like shit. i've ran carbie cleaner n changed the plugs but still breaks down under load. idle is a bit low n rough but cruising at low revs is ok but as soon as i wind up the revs it breaks down again.it did have a slight miss when cold b4 it sat. any advise would be great.

Checked your leads? Whats your spark like?

thanx outside left pot wasn't firing pulled lead off n checked it against the head, it sparked well, put it back n it ran sweet. am i up for new leads n coil?

Has your gsxr got a single coil or coil per pot? If its single I'd say no - switch your dodgey lead with one you know is good - if the problem follows the lead around then yupp get a new one - You could have just had a dodgey contact somewhere and moving the lead around bumped it back in. I'm not much of a spanner turner myself - thats just what I'd do to try nail the problem. Good luck mate.

cheers. did the same this morning pulled the lead touch the head sparked then put it back. will check the coils this weekend. thanks for ya help mate.
