And the new jewel in the crown is this gs1200 to go in here.
If any one can help with any ins or outs about fitting this thing I would be more than happy to here.

Should be a simple fit mate. It's no different to doing the 7/11 conversion. Good to hear from you again mate. I like this new project - keep us up to date.

I thought I would join the slab club as 80 percent of the streetfighters I see are these + Suzuki's are the only bikes I really like.
Will do Gix11 nothing going to happen in the next few days as I am all flued up so fell like crap.
fimpBIKES so you should mate its coming from NEW ZEALAND ;)

I like your tank idea. Don't see many modified tanks in the southern hemisphere, yet the germans seem to do it regularly. I look forward to seeing it completed.

Mate I love ur idea with the tank, since i've been playing with fibreglass, I've been toying with the idea of either modifying my tank or glassing a cover for it.
Are you glassing onto the tank or making a new one? Just curious as to which would be the best way to do it.

Oh and I only just noticed the triple clamp set up. Looks interesting, how does it feel? I'd have thought the geometry would be out...?

Hey Dane ra I have still got a few more things to do on it, just waiting 4 some lights to show up and then I can start glassing it, Its only going to b a cover as I will be making a tank to fit under it so I can have more room for mounting things as there is no room under the tail.
The handlebars are not far from where the standard clip-ons were so I think it should handle fine im hoping and I am trying to achieve comfit, looks, performance/aerodynamics what I can lol.

Cool build mate, i love the angled top yoke and forward facing risers [8D] IMO drag bars will look better, but will probably fuck up your spine in a month :D

Hey Slam the reason Deano proberly thought the GS was a shaft drive is I dont think that model was released in Aus mate, to all interested the GS1200ss is basically a bandit motor in a similar frame with a twin spring rear and a slabbie twin light style front half fairing. 90% of them were released in an ALL BLACK paint job maybe thats why they only came to NZ????

Yeah mate thats the GSX1100G came out in 91 and is a bloody whale at 261kg not to be confused with the GSX1100F (1127) based on the 1052 as it came out in 87 with crap 16inch wheels and chain drive.

Thanx damo1 the holes will be filled with big hi beam and small low beam lights counter sunk into both sides of the tank, as the front of the bike will have nothing on it.
Wow, awesome build with some very different ideas.
