Z1000 Headlight fairing-now with mock up pics

It's had some repairs but paint and bog will sort that.
It's also got an aftermarket smoked screen which is a bit rough so I'll get rid of that as I want a black one.
I might try cutting it down and painting it first and see how it goes.

I'll finally be able to get rid of that POS dirtbike set up and have some decent lights.

Tidy purchase Phil,foto looks big as a close up ,coz the bike is in the background.And what a fuckin horny lookin mole it is(the bike).Those pillion pegs are costing you about .08HP at thje rear wheel mate,women are costly.

Will do a cable tie mock up of the fairing over the weekend so you can get an idea of how it looks.

I was thinking that instead of chopping up the original steel mounting bracket, I might make something new that uses the rubber straps off the dirt bike headlight fairing I am using now. Would make mounting very easy.
I think it needs a shorter screen.

My mate reckons I should just paint it black, but I reckon I should put the stripe on it. What do youse think ?

Yep for the stripe as it follows from the guard and yep to a smaller screen mate, that's way too big. Get a saw/cutting wheel to it and cut a V shape into it about level with the bars at the most and then sand the edges to make it look good.

Probly more chance fitting straight on yours than on mine.
Bring it over and we'll have a look, I have the brackets and everything to fit it up so it wouldn't be hard to check how it fits on yours before you go spending money on your own.

I like that fairing, but if you want to keep the windscreen and have a good look, trim it down.;)
