View Full Version : Steps out of the tyre smoke...
Hi all,
I got this 250 Hornet from my brother when he upgraded to an R6. They're a pretty plain looking bike when standard but I'm hoping to get some inspiration from you guys on how to make it look a bit tougher. I grew up with dirt bikes and I've had a few "classic" jap bikes. This is my first modern "road" bike (ie. fit for highway use. I'm not too worried that it's only a 250cc, I see it as practice for when I upgrade later on.

Welcome aboard mate - I've always had a soft spot for the 600 hornets.
Good luck with your build.

Welcome aboard mate. I reckon you should be headed this way to toughen it up:

See, the seat is a cool shape by itself! This is one of my favourite examples of a Hornet.

Cheers guys,
yea Gix that seat looks trick. I'm tryin to figure out a way to do single seat mod.
Scotty mac, Blue neons will look shmicko.
Rocket, you're right. I won't be going overboard on this little beast. I'll be doin a few minor fabricating projects myself such as chain and 'zorst guards. Prob have those rear pillion pegs shaved off and fit some new mirrors.
Fitted this thermo fan overide switch a while back

Look closely mate and you will see the only mod is the removal of the tail plastics and the side panels. The seat you have is identical to that one. The lights have been fitted into the seat itself:
