G'day everyone, I've been a member for a while, but the computer had a moment and died and now the new one is here and alive.

At the moment I'm bikeless, I've had a few bikes Started off witha (don't laugh) Honda '84 XLX250R , then a Yamaha '98 TTR6OO, my favoutrite '91 GSXR1100 and finally a '97 Honda XR600.

I used to race the GSXR at Benaraby. Best was 11.140 @ 124mph. It wasn't bad for a stock bike with just a Yoshi can.....considering I was about 100kgs at the time. Next bike will hopefully be a GSXR1000 in the not to distant future.

Cheers,
Kris.

G,day Kris & welcome to the site, are you a central Queensland local? I think there's a few guys on this forum from Gladstone, Myself included. I had a few runs down the track at Benaraby Myself on Sunday night & managed to get a best time of 11.5 @ 115 MPH on my XJR 1300 which I was more than pleased with as this was my first time down the track.

Yep, I'm from Gladstone. I also had a Monza Red XF Falcon ute with a 4V Cleveland in it that used to run 11.55@116mph.It still races , but different owner and engine now.
Its addictive dragracing, between runs with the ute I also had a few runs on the XR600 - from memory it went 15.3 @86mph. I want to race again, hopefully soon.
Great site this one.
Kris.

It sure is, unfortunately up here we don't have a circuit up here yet. I use to try and make the most of the turn at the end of the quarter though :-)
