I can't understand why you screwed it all the way in, surely at some point of this installation you would have thought that it was a bad idea. ;):D

I think I can beat that. On the old Speed Triple I just picked the bike up from having a new tyre fitted and pulled inot a servo to meet up with Beaver (the old members will remember him from the first AFR on his 998 Duc) and I managed to get a U bold that had been ground sharp by being run over through the tyre! It was fucked. Wanting to just get home we filled it with that foam shit and Beaver followed me to make sure it didn't get too out of control on the way back, but because the holes were so big (yea, we thought it was one nail bent over so pulled one side out to make the discovery) it coated his brand new 998, helmet and leathers with foam. I was very popular. A grand total of 30km on that tyre. The bloke at the tyre shop thought I was mental going back the next day for another one.

My brother was a tyre fitter there for a few years so that probably helped. :)

Can't bike tyres be repaired like car tyres using a plug or patch?

I reckon it's your riding style Cavey. The nails and shit hang around the white line areas and kerbs, so you ride like me, all over the shop to get the fuckin' cars out the way, lane splitting, cutting up the inside and other various wrongness. Good work.
