Just bought a stocker, high miles, but its a beaut.
A 96`in snot green :D Big chunky bike, not huge in the power department, twin plug head, it rides smooth as....errr.... smooth as..... smooth as..err..... its very smooth :D:D:D

Anyone got one ? Whats the options for making it a bit different ?
Sensible/ practical suggestions ?

Wow - what a difference paint, an exhaust and a belly pan make... Oh wheels too... Thats choice.

The only thing that he goofed on with the blue one was not angling the new stickers at the same angle as the tail base and exhaust. Would have looked shit loads better if he had.

Collecting the Kwak this weekend after its been MOT`d.

This photo is not my bike but exactly the same except mine is a darker green. Good basis for a project. The bars are way too narrow for me, so a set of Renthals are the immediate job ;)

Now I'm not much of a Kwaka fan, but that looks like it has massive po-tential!

Even the stocker wheels have a cool retro look. But then I like the wire ones too... OH too many options!

The first blue one needs a slightly shorter tail, and as Gix said angle the stickers, and it's spot on.

ozzy1100, nice one mate [8D]
Have you mended it yet ?
What damage did you do ?

Been out most of yesterday playin on mine.
Good bike !! Rock steady, super smooth engine and sounds damned
great !! Nice zorst noise above 3000 rpm.

Just feels like a big ole early 80s Kwak :)

Needs the front brakes and clutch sorting.
And needs a full lockset. SRC at some stage but not registered ;)
Big bike for small spons.

Certainly draws attention amongst all the Tupperware bikes :D

Yeah I like this bike a lot, the front calipers are coming off shortly. The front brakes are shite, lever back to the bar nearly.
Gonna do a straight clean up and new seals, with new pads first.
Clutch needs sorting fairly soon. Poor return on the lever so springs are prolly too weak ;)

Hope you stayed in one piece ?

Could you post a link for the zephyr zone you mentioned ?

Still recovering from my big OFF 6 years ago, about to go under the knife again soon. Been walking, riding and working out with a bust left ankle since my smash. No one noticed the acute fracture till end of last year. They best not mess it up as its my gear change foot !!!! Do`nt talk hospitals with me, it gets gruesome [xx(]
I have the NHS loyalty card and the "I`ve been in the Air Ambulance" sticker :D:D

hi all ,
i was the proud ower(well still am) of a custom zr 1100 zephyr till i droped it at over 170 kms at the end of the back stright of queensland raceway.lets just say the lovely z9 jafa paint i put on isnt all there still lol. it seames if you install 6 pistons off a k1 gsxr you cant grab them as hard as the 4 spots lol. well thats all history now im looking 2 the future. i have allways been into bulding cars i even ran my own car aduio biz for a while there. a few yrs ago i sore the light and moved back into bikes and have never looked back. anyway i have allways liked streetfighters they remind me of what in cars is called retrotec wicth is taking parts from any where norm later models and installing them and just tring 2 give it attitude. so im useing this bad luck 2 kick start a bit of streetfighter fun. where else would you look for advice on the pit falls of tring 2 fit usd forks and swing arms etc then you guys . now all i need is a new bank balance lol cacth you's around

Another good thing with these is their v.low seat height.
Even the 5 foot nowt can get a foot or two down when sat on these.

Taking mine up to a UK biker rally this coming friday.
Got the front brakes 100% better than they were, but the callipers need stripping and seals etc. Later..... hope the camp site isnt under 2 feet of water like most of England is right now !!!!

Lotta hard work gone into cleaning that up.
I like my bikes to look mint even though they get well used.

I`ve really jelled with this Kwak, its an 80s thing, very reminiscent of the genre.

Sweet easy bike to ride, not huge power at around 93 bhp, but mild power delivery and ultra smooth. A heavy bike, but its all low down weight.
Dropped it allready with the dodgy side stand, but picked it up easy.

That is a nice looking bike there Hos, if it's not a rude question how much did it cost you, I ask because I'm looking at getting a second bike myself that is easier to double up on.

HOS
31-07-2007, 07:30 PM
Thanks for your comments mate.

The bike cost me £1400 sterling.
Although some may say thats too much, the 1100 is getting very rare now.
With a very low seat hieght and great ridability, I think I could easily make a fair profit as it stands.

Its looking decidedly shitty right now after a weekend of festival style mud [xx(]

But it sat rock steady at the ton all the way home.

Is that one of those "leave it in the garage and forget about it" situations ?
Damn shame. Imaginative use of the duct tape though [:o)]
