Huddo's got two of the bastards in my garage. I'll get a picture of his number one bike tomorrow if you like. It's got Ohlins forks and billet triples and Jmc swingarm. Quite tidy but not finished.

I was quoted $12,000 ride away on a new 1200 last week,
($13,000 on an unfaired SV1000,$13,000 on a GSX14)
Not a bad price,
Still cant get to like the later Bandit styling though.
The unfaired First model was the one I liked.
I think the current ones will look very dated when the
3rd shape (sharp lines like the latest SV's) hit the dealers.

Unless they are 'fightered Bandits of course ;)
230bhp Turbo-Spondon-S/Sider-USD-Bandit anyone ?

When Mickey Thompson tyres put up some cash for the first 7
streetbikes to run a quarter mile in the 7's, needless to say
they were all Suzuki's. Mainly GSXR / EFE etc (this pre-Hayabusa domination)
Interestingly the very 1st of these "Streetbikes" to pull a 7 was a Bandit 1200. 1500cc with Happy-Gas. I think the term "Streetbike" is being stretched a bit, although they do a short Road-Ride with a engine Stop-Start in it.

That's his raver gear mate. Drops a few Es and then ninces it up all night. He has a matching jacket also. The can got that damage about a year and a half ago after he threw it down the road, not once but twice, pissed as a cunt. Stupid bastard, I never let up on telling him was a wanker for doing that.... Yea, we fitted the new chain and sprocket set last weekend. Maybe now we won't get such a mental dyno graph?

Nice one Huddo - just get rid of the poffy shiny things covering the airbox - go the BMC filters I luv em.
I have 1 dented staintune slipon for a bandit if anyone is interested. Yes I'll post on for sale bits soon with other items.
Does anyone know what the Ohlins were off - I thought they dont make Ohlins 1100 USD's anymore - not that i can find any :(

Very Nice..
Damn I need a USD front end... how the hell am I gonna explain that one to the Boss ?
Gix11
24-01-2006, 02:40 PM
He bought the Ohlin's off of Kamakazebusa (Paul), in fact the whole bandit project. Check the bikes for sale page on the main website to see what he got.

They look so much better with USD's, the stock forks are just so flimsy looking in comparison..
speeddemon
24-01-2006, 04:53 PM
Razor - this one works on my boss '"the stock forks are very unsafe and likely to contribute to you untimely death, dont know how suz can sell em like that so can I take that 1k from our account then dear?"" - yes they do look better. I reckon the solid disks, particularly chain gangs version look great
Very easy conversion mate, just need to press the GSXR steerer out and slightly enlarge hole and press bandits in. Done. Can even use ya stock wheels un brakes. Usually can source USD's with triples for about 800 from wreckers. the Gsxr fork action is shit though so you need re-valve em

I need to blow the stocker forks on the z750.... hopefully pick up some zx6 usd sooner or later....

Thanks speed. Im surprised its not something Matt Mingay did when he was stunting on it. Im sure these forks have had the crap pounded out of them too. Apart from anything else, Bandits just look so damn good with a 01/02 GSXR1000 front end. Its a must for the next major Mod.

I thought some here might enjoy a look at another highly modified Bandit. Besides the USD fork, the motor has been given a once over that includes 1277 cc, GSXR cams, mild head porting, full Hindle exhaust, and K&N air pod style filters. I didn't want to attract too much attention, so its a bit of a sleeper.

The body work is stock for an "S" model, except for the Busa front fender, which has since been swapped for a smaller Gixxer fender.

Well, in answer to the original question, I have a Bandit (of the oil cooled kind...I have never seen anybody with the liquid cooled engine in a Bandit???)
She is faily stock, too much fun to hack it up (and I'm poor...)
Posted this elsewhere, well here it is again!

Hey Russ,
Were you sticking a late model watercooled 750 into an older gixer a few months back?
If yes, how is it going?
