whats wrong with having a lead and just letting the mutt keep up with the bike.

Thats how my brother used to exercise his Doberman. No lead tho ;)

He said he got a bit worried when he crossed a cattle grid at 60 on his dirt bike with the dog chasing him. He turned around to see the dog tumbling down the road. No worries, it just picked itself up and started chasing him again :D

Thats my kind of dog.
