Just started stripping the tank on my Kat project bike and discovered what I suspected I might find, a pair of big effin dents in the front of it hiding uner 1" of bog...
So if anyone in/near Brisbane has got a decent Kat tank let me know!

Eh?
OK genius, guess what ya forgot?
Would ya walk into a workshop and just start blathering about you're problems (and I'm talking about you're mechanical problems, not you're obvious problems with excessive fantasising about you're mother). No ya wouldn't would ya brainstem?
So what do we say when we walk into somewhere new?
come on, I'm sure you can figure it out, if you ask a friend or 2 (that's assuming they're even slightly quicker than you are).
That do Gibbo? :D

Ah, ok. Gotcha.
Hi, I'm Bish. I've got an RG500, and building up a tweaked Kat (braced to hell 750 frame, 1100 motor/Rs38s/G8 cams, Bathurst wires...)
Sorry bout that. Spread across a million different message boards and can never remember which ones i've intro'd myself on, and feeling a tad panicky because the once perfect looking tank i had disolved into a pile of white dust under the power of a strip-it disc.
Better?

G'day Gammaboy, anyone with an RG5 [8D] & a Kat[:p] is welcome here anytime.
As they say in the classics;
Pics or it didn't happen.
BTW, you'll be hard pressed to find a Kat tank with no dingage these days, why not just repair yours?

Well... the tank is pretty stuffed ( gouged nearly 1" of bog from one side and still didn't hit steel), the dented tank on Evilbay is in better shape...

Yeah, going to brace the swinger too... I've stalled alittle on the Mito, she's been sitting a while. need to sort out the oil pump conversion and an airbox, and finish the wiring...
