What are they worth? the local bike shop has one for sale for $2800. It's got a crap paint job but other than that looks ok,18500km. Does this model streetfighter ok or should I be looking for an earlier model?

they convert very easy mate. if i can do it with bugger all tools any one can. i paid $2000 for mine $200 for bars n risers just be careful when u get risers that the bars miss the top of the forks. the cables will reach but you will need a longer brake line. a bandit 12 should fit in without much mods, i thinks pesh69 has don this mod.they perfect fighter n parts are cheep n there's lots around.

black bike is a 92 water cooled and white bike is earlier slingshot.

what makes them a bit easier is the bolt on subframe instead of weld on.

let me no if you need any advice as i have had 3 of these in the last 2 years. still own the 92 track bike and the black 92 in the pic.

i lengthened the throttle cables and used an R6 front brake hose. but have since replaced with braided lines and R1 throttle and switch block.

Are there any complications fitting an oil cooled 1100 into a water cooled 750 frame?

Oh and Sharky I'm not getting rid of the yam, just interested in the gsxr as a bike for the Mrs to ride at the moment, possibly a 7-11 project down the track a bit.

yep shit loads. but it has been done

custom down tubes/cradle and different engine mounts bottom and front and rear

not worth it mate.

the oil cooled motor is physically alot bigger than the watercooled.

you can put the water cooled motor in the oil cooled frame alot easier.
