Guys,
I'm selling the GSX.
it's been a fun little project but Its up for sale.

Specs are as follows.
1982 GSX1100 EZ
1995 GSXR1100 USD front.
Vortex billet top triple, renthal superbike bar.
Acewell speedo
6 pot tokico brakes (front) with HEL lines.
GSXR1000 K1 (rear brakes)
GSXR wheels with 120/180 tyre combo.
New <1000kms old chain and sprockets
XW ring Gold chain.
Rebuilt GSXR750 Slingshot carbs rejetted to suit with K&N pods, I also just synched the carbs too.
I am currently (as in this week) fitting up an 1133 Wiseco kit to freshen up the motor.
new clutch fibres and heavy duty springs (goodridge) <1000kms
4 into 1 headers into pipe (proMX dirt bike pipe).
Twin lights (as you can see)
Side panels (included but not fitted in the pics, just because I prefer the look)
I’m advertising elsewhere for $5,500.
I will sell it to any ASF full member for $5,000, will consider doing a deal on a DR650 to similar value.
Over $8,000 in receipts.

It’s a tough bike, and rides well, this work would cost ALOT more if you had to do it, all this stuff can easily be transferred onto a Katana as well (not that you would).

Rego until June 07.
Bike is in Malabar Sydney.
Contact me on 0404 848 774 if interested (Ed).

Hey Si,

I want to do more offroad riding and adventure type touring.

I cant have/afford another bike so plan on getting a DR650 and having 2 sets of wheels.

Unfortunately the GSX just wont take me over those dirt roads...

Cheers

over the weekend, I decided it was an opportune time to clean up the bike a little.

since the motor was sans head, I decided to strip the bike down and give the frame some attention.

stripped, de-dagged, etched and painted.

tehe head was sent off to get cleaned up, valve seats recut and valves re-surfaced also a light skim over the mating surface. Important as the new pistons are running close to zero deck height.

new valve stem seals and timing chain ar eon order from "abusa" thanks mate.

oops.. 2nd rebuild commenced.

stay tuned.

Cheers

Ed
