View Full Version : My new Muffler

Last friday went to Evolution Yamaha in Epping to see my friend Chris and get some sticky Michelins.
while waiting for the tyres to be fitted I noticed this nice (horny) looking muffler and I just couldn't resist.
Took it home with me and spent a few hours at my mate Peter (Manta Eng.) workshop machining a flange and bracket to make it all fit.
I don't know what you guys think but I can't stop looking at it.
It also sounds bloody great.

its pretty neat looking. ive never seen one like that bafore. what bike was it for?

I hope that I didn't mislead anyone by saying "new muffler".
I realise that this things have been on the market for a while now.
I meant that it was was new for me and that I am excited on how it looks.

Thank you for your coments.
I believe that it was meant for a naked Yamaha. FZR? not sure.
Not a lot is needed to make it fit.

It had a sticker on it for $969.
Thats the muffler only.
I made my own bits to make it fit.
Also, I know the person at the store and I believe that it was the last one that he had and also the one on display so I paid $700.

It's for the FZ1. I looked at picking up an FZ a couple of weeks ago, and they were gonna throw one of these in. Due to work it looks like i'm going o/s for the rest of the year though, so the FZ will have to wait!!
