does your bike have soul?
when you run your eyes over its lines while in the shed with a corona ,what is it saying?
is the bark of the engine speaking to you?
is it saying vroom vroom or lock and load mofo?
what are other peoples immediate feeling towards streetfighters?
fear? curiosity? disgust?
When your look at a brand new model that really apeals to you do you get buttiflys ?
for me all bikes have an ora a soul , some say brady bunch friendly others say "i'm gonna hurt you"
from the rake of the forks to the lenght of the wheel base to the size of the back wheel , all these dimensions and shapes provoke a very primeevil instinct to dominate and control the beast in question .
as I sit here in front of my computer with a cuppa glancing through the window at my very own steed a yamaha vmax I cant help but ponder what is it saying just sitting there , to be honest its yelling at me ,summening me over to awaiken the beast within and hunt down unsuspecting sportsbike and harley riders. the thrill of competition becons me .
So the question " does your bike have a soul"
can be answered on how you percieve your very own steed ,the way you look at it as either just a fun bike or a key invitation to the aural pleasures of speed and adrenalin.
when we go for rides with mates , instinct , pack and hunter mentality kicks into overdrive ,the first to the top of the hill is king, very much like the thrill of hunting the mammoth like our ancestors did millions of years ago.
instead we are blessed with mechanical animals to guide us and initiate the kill , each animal different to the next , all dressed differently each with their own individual growl, this is the essence of motorcycling different but same , so each bike has its own "aura" a "soul" with a common goal to hunt and kill in the form road racing in a concrete jungle .
so does my bike have a soul? f*&k yeah ! your steed is an extension of your own personality and my ride tells me every day it has anger management issues so back the f&*K up!
