Yep I have a set of standard needles from a GSXR1100L. I am still in the uk at the moment but I dont mind sending them as they will be very cheap to send.
If you want them pm me your address and I will send them. I will log it as a beer owed for when i get to Auss. :)

Just found a jet kit on evilbay in the us that has all the needles( with grooves), 4 sets of mains plus all the pilot jets etc. Am I right this will fit Alfie ? It is from a 89-92 1100.

Cheers Alfie, thought it was but wasn't sure.
The other bits I need are either the plastic 90' bends from the float bowls....or 2 more float bowls with these on. I'm gonna see if I can create something using brass tube and a soldering iron but if anyone has a pair that would save me the effort.

are you on about the plastic breather tubes that need extending now that your carbs are slightly further apart ?

sharky

No mate. On the float bowls there is a 90' plastic connector for the power jet fuel line.

Sorry sharky what do you mean by power jet ?
I am a bit lost as the term power jet is not used on these standard carbs here in the uk.

Link below for diagram of carbs let me know what numbered part it is

Its the fitting on the float bowl that takes the fuel to the top. Not sure if the 11's had 'em Alfie. On the 750's at around 10,000 rpm fuel gets sucked up and squirted into the intake as an extra boost.

Got ya I know now.
I have made a few repairs to these before it was a while ago now what I used was a some micro bore copper pipe used by plumbers mostly in central heating systems and gas fitters.
Bend it into shape and with some solvent resistant resin set it in place.
I cant remember what the resin was called but it had the consistancy of thick toffee so it would not run every where and could be shaped or smoothed before it dried yeah it worked a treat.

We called e'm fuel transfer pipes just to be different

I've found some 4mm brass tube at a model shop that can be bent to shape for the fuel lines( curved ones around throttle linkages) I have found superglue to be fuel resistant so I can stick them in with that. I am also going to drill out the <s>power jet</s>fuel transfer pipe and use the brass to make fittings for that too.

Sounds like a plan let me know how you get on. Its always interesting to know different ways around problems.
