so your gonna use 'glass?

and then a fuel cell yeah?
there was a thread on the SV site about a dude making up carbon SV tanks

one piece fibreglass bodywork is so damn cool!!!

i guess u would wanna have re-usable molds since u shall be racing eh? (no offense [:P])

hey, i have been thinking about this kinda thing a bit lately
how hard would it be to put a mild steel mesh in the tank area within the 'glass?

that way u could use magnetic tank bags, probably stiffen the shit out of the tank too!!!

Hey Joe, looks good...what do you think about a TZR style tail?

Have you seen this link before?

That guy goes about a custom tail in a good way...would make life easier going that route.:D

not to sure about that tail matt, little too "droopy" at the end for my liking.
that building process in that link is exactly how i was going to go about it mate, with a slight difference, i'll be putting a foam layer over the ply skeleton, so i can form some scallops into the panel work, to tie into the headlight/front guard im running.

fimp: yep in fibreglass, then a alloy fuel cell under that. the thread on the sv site, is one im heavily involved in, its turning into a pretty good thread.

putting mesh into the tank wouldnt be hard, put it inbetween two layers of glass. no one would know. and yes, i fully intend on making the mould reusable too.
