I think there's some kind of handicap system in place. If you can finish around forth place consistently in a holden you still get a trophy.

Stop whinging you bunch of Ford freaks!! Lowndes was driving around like some old nanna going to bowls in an under powered peice of crap. He fuckin deserved everything he got, ITS FUCKIN MOTOR RACING. He couldnt keep up with the pace and got in the way, simple as that. Shit car, average driver and no balls, ofcourse it was going to happen. Get over it, Holden wins again. And again. And again. :D;)

What I want to know is, when you're watching the racing and a car comes around a corner, how long does it take before you know whether it's a Ford or a Holden?
Do you just wait till it's close enough for you to read the banner across the top of the windscreen?
Or do you just wait for the commentators to tell you?

Thats true Chalky, same motor,gearbox, diff, frontend, wheelbase and wheels. The only difference is the body and badge. But thats motorsport. ;)

Actually...

Lowndes was balked in the first and second races by holden "drivers" but was gentlemanly enough not to bunt the tnucs off the track.

That fat tongued monkey jawed gap toothed inbred couldn't even wait one lap to bunt his way through...

Must have watched the Russell Ingall Driving Vids :D

Hmmm V8 SNOREcars, I love my motorsport, but its time to change that formula, too far removed from what you can buy and they are the same cars with different badges anyway, try watching the British touring car racing.. MUCH better, Bike racing shits all over car racing though.
Funny thing is that i'm more a Holdon man, but I like the way Lowndes drives... go figure????

Speedway sidecars on pay tv now... must watch...

I dont know about you guys but i am getting sick of mediocrity breeding success in motorsport. Hayden won by running around in the top 4 all year. Sure he won his home GP which is on the track he grew up on, and another non event GP, but for the rest of the year he either didnt have the pace or didnt push for the win. You should not win championships by running around in second. Rossi goes for the win every time he pulls on his helmet.

The V8's was even worse. The Kelly boys wanna go racing a few years ago so mummy and daddy buy Kmart racing!!! Wish we could all be so lucky. Now he wins the championship without winning a round. Its bullshit, and the stewards should be shot for that decision in the protest. The silver spooned little prick hit him in the right hand corner where he knows it will put the car sideways. Holden or Ford i dont really care, but that was blatant.

I know what you're saying SB, but watching Rossi close the gap from over 50 points down to nearly snaring another championship was the best GP racing I can remember seeing in years. And watching Pedrosa take out Hayden was priceless.....

Yeah i dont know what it is about Pedrosa but i took an instant dislike to him. Even in the smaller classes. I normally have respect for any GP rider. Anyone who can ride a motorcycle that fast you have to respect even if you are not a fan of them, but i cheer every time that little bastard bins it.

Maybe it was the Stoner rivalry.
