Yeh , got mates who own a few Mopars. Won best R/T charger at the Albury Mopar nationals. I Luv to be able to build one.............[:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p]

its either a 69 or 68 Charger for me. My other mate owns a Cuda and challenger........but the charger's still my favourite. Mopar's going to release the new challenger soon.........or so they say

corect me if i'm wrong...but a Dodge Charger is not a Valiant Charger (Chrysler)???
was watching a show on Sky Channel a few months ago on Mopar builders and some cunt paid big dollars to have a Dodge Charger built the same as the old Dukes of Hazard weapon.
Im sure the Mopar term goes well beyond the Charger as these blokes had a shed full of old skool weapons..fill us in here Guru's???

mopar is usually banded around all chrysler products, theres a few variations tho...

dodge,
chrysler,
chrysler by chrysler
valiant
plymonth

the parent company is chrysler the rest are subsidaries from that. and also, mopar is the performance branch of chrysler, much like ford racing do all the hot up shit for mustangs etc..

cheers.joe.

I haven't seen Bullit for a while but I'm pretty sure Steve was chasing a Charger/Challenger in his Mustang in the famous car chase scene too.
Large's one looks sweet with them Minilites too, why'd you sell it Large? - was it pulling too much pussy for you?

lol...I wish

I reckon I drove it less than 2-300k a year for the last three years and every year it needed something new...gbox/welding/diff/moteur so it was costing me 4 or 5 bux a kilometer

I also had a brand new 426 hemi block and used crank/rods heads etc to go in it one day...but I've sold most of that stuff too :(

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!
I'd kill for a 426 Hemi, Years ago, I had a 454 & Raceglide in a HQ that did low 12s with 1/2 track wheelspin, it was a serious car.
I was filling up in a servo in Frankston one day & this Telecom orange HQ sedan rolls in, shaking the ground & making all the noises.
I wander over to this guy just as he's lifting the bonnet & fuck me if he didn't have a 426 in there. This was me > [:0] [:p][:p]
We had a yak & exchanged phone No's with the intention of having a run & I hooked up with him about 3 weeks later & he gave me a drive, MAAATE, do those Hemis make some torque!!! [:p] My big block made 428 HP & 480 ft/lb at the wheels & this thing would've absolutely hosed me, I was glad I didn't race him, it was & still is the fastest/most powerful thing I've ever driven. [8D]
I've had a secret desire for a Hemi ever since.......... one day. ;)

You better start saving then .....I got 5000 for the bare block[:0]

A complete motor will cost you 20000+

You can get the Hemi look cheaper with aftermarket heads on a 440.
Or get an older 392 or 354 (heavy motors) helped mates fit some of these into 2 door Vals .

If I asked what was the first car to go over 200MPH on a closed racetrack...most people would say an F1 or some other shittter...

Actually the first car to ever go 200mph+ on a closed racetrack (meaning not a road, dragstrip or long piece of saltflats) was a 1969 Dodge Daytona Hemi which that valiant coupe is a nice replica of[8D] (or at least the Plymouth Superbird which was very closely related)

Right on brother.............. These yougher generation with their Jap import R33's and S200 don't know what real speed is.

Where talking over 30 years ago here ppl. Thats true thoroughbred performance. I admit that these new 4cyl engines produce big time HP and all credit to them but please when it comes to Building a muscle engine..........
