Mine were crushed coke cans duct taped to my jeans whilst tying to make an rg 500 go round lakeside.

I must have the same sliders that you had Pete. Mine was a ZZR11 streetfighter with no back brake, low siding through a crash scene oil slick. Broke my girlfriends finger and arm as well. They're shit. Don't recommend them at all.
