gday fellas, has anyone else had problems getting the plugs out of an 86 1100? coz fucked if any plug socket i have will fit down that bloody hole, is it a special suzuki plug spanner for the job??:(

Not special but a quality thinwall long socket helps. The cheaper ones are too thick and foul on the head casting.

If you don't have a good socket you could try one of those pressed tube sockets.

Are you using the right size? (fucked if I know what it is...maybe 18mm? [V] )

you need a 18mm plug tool from any good bike shop mate or you can grind one down ;)

Yeah a mate of mine used to borrow my 18mm snapon long reach 3/8 socket and that did the job fine;)

Yeah i had the same problem about a month back, a 18 or 19mm long reach socket will do it, if it is too thick for the whole then gring it down a bit on the sides and all will be fine. For some reason Suzuki feels we need the same sized plugs a lawn mower.

Ok got me a nice you bewdy shiny chromed tube spanner 18&19 mm did the trick. did i mention it was chromed $4.95 and yes Seifer, i hate to say it but it was in the lawnmower section.[:I]
