How many copies of the magazine did you buy ?
Come on, tell the truth.

Love the bit where he says "I've ridden Race Bikes / Drag Bikes /
bla bla bla.. and NOTHING went like this, it hurts !!" :D[8D]

top writeup there mate. they need a less girly editor. "evrything hurt and i shat myself":D

28-07-2006, 08:34 AM
Hey pt there are 2 kinds of people in the world, those who can, and those who write about it (Which is why Davo has a larger post count than me :D), guess which group motorcycle journos fall into? :D

And you're right, it was rather girlie.

Good stuff Pete, enjoyed reading that!Is it true about the bending against the wall of the shed...sure you're not wearing calipers? In that last photo it looks like the front sprocket is as big as the rear with the lack of angle in the chain,go on,tell us what you've had it up to?
Also (same mag) loved the seat on that Hornet just the sort of look I'd like on mine, nice work there Ben.

Nice one Pete!:D Bike looks great!!!

Rapid seem a bit confused with what you got there, at one point you have a GT24 then you have the GT28, have they messed up anything else?

Yeah they listed the address of this site as streetfighters.com I think someone has been wearing their helmet a little too tight, their attention to detail on most things leaves a fair bit to be desired.... still they show good bikes so I guess we can forgive them.

Yeah a bit of miss-spelling there cause the code on the GT28 Turbo says M24 so people confuse this everywhere......even so-called experts..

Since Rapid has gone monthly, its taken a while to catch up with that kind of stuff.

Thanks for all of your comments, its been a rush having my my bike in print... Im still on a high and cant wait for my hand to get better so I can ride the fucking thing!!

Yeah mate my calipers were drunken mates saying 'just one more kick.... that way'... truth.. I was lucky with the bends!!!!!

Ive seen 330 on the clock 2 times now, so I think its maybe 300-310 which is is fast for a naked thing on the road... hard to hold straight... helmet wobble, etc...... my maths says it should do about 350...... theroy!!! If I can hang on, weighing 88 kg and 15 litres of fuel...areodynamics of a xd ford!!!

Streetfighter got a few mentions in this issue. i've been trying to find that hornet thred on here for ages so was good to see i rate that very highly! Is it just me or is Rapid getting abit tame in its style and writing since it whent monthly. Still the best mag out there ( i can't read Streetfighter in public with all the naked girls)

oh and the busa would be insane to ride!
