i heard that the r6 throttle is almost the same as the suzuki one my tl uses, does anyone know this to be true?

thing is i want a throttle housing like from a new r6 that doesnt have the switches on it but i want to use my billet grips i have already.

or if anyone knows of a quick action unit that will allow me to use the stock tlr throttle tube.

The throttle tube diameter at the cable channels controls the speed response of the throttle (bigger = quicker action), so using the standard TL one won't change that.

Not sure about the interchangeabliity (?) of throttles but I know a lot of the cables are - so chances are the throttle would be too. My ZX9 one is identical to my old XJ900 diversion one.

Abusa posted not long ago about using a r6 or r1 tube in a suzi housing for a Busa they are different to each other and both faster than the suzuki.(not sure which forum he posted on though)

If you want to quicken the action of your current grips then you need a

1/5th turn throttle mod

Or glue a cable tie onto the last 2/3 of the cable run.

i dont want to quicken the action

the only reason i mentioned the quick action units is becuase they are stand alone.
i just want a stand alone unit that takes the tlr throttle tube

Ah sorry.

Well an R1 has a stand alone and it's tube fits the TLR so you'd imagine the TLR tube will fit the R1 throttle housing ok.
