My new 1250 Bandit

Bought a new 07 1250 Bandit, had for 4 days and and hit a kangaroo at 100kmh at night, kept it upright somehow but it fucked the fairing, headlight and bent the forks, wheel points a few degrees to the left now.
Rang the dealer to find out prices, apart from costing heaps it's all ex japan, no spares in Oz so I'm gunna put on near new TLR1000R USD front end I've got and forget the fairing.

That's a bastard of a way to start a new fighter project Russ!!, but it sounds like you already had plans...oddly enough the new 'mini fairing' doesn't look too bad the way it is, in the photo anyhow.

The only plans I had was a new muffler as I've got 2 Katana's I'm doing up, that's what the TLR forks was for but plans have changed due that little mishap, I would have bought a naked style but they're only available overseas.

the new bandit engine has had good reveiws over here in the uk, it does look better with out the front fairing on it, that kangaroo is a bit of a blessing in disguise :D
