View Full Version : Victorians for Straightliners - get on board

TurboKat
15-06-2006, 05:14 PM
Seeing as how only Booster replied to my original post (page 7 of Straightliners topic) calling for interest in Stu's Straightliners event, I thought that seeing as I'm now an accomplished Dragracer,;) I should try again to gather some Mexican participation.
I C.B.F. typing it all again so check out the original post for what I'm proposing.
It's getting more interesting now because OzKat has challenged my righteous arse to a ZX9 vs. GSXR grudge match on his imaginery hotrod Gixer that he doesn't even have yet :D
I reckon we should take it a step further & have a State of Origin showdown as well, so if anybody has any pride in the Garden State (or whatever the fuck we're calling it now) sign up now to kick some NSW & QLD arse. [8D]

Iceman
15-06-2006, 05:21 PM
Still work'n on it, Darren. We'll just have to wait and see.

ozkat

FARK!!! you Mexicans are soft as custard and twice as yellow ;)

ozkat
15-06-2006, 05:40 PM
Fight? you wont even be able to catch me

Booster
15-06-2006, 07:28 PM
Haven't decided how i will get there yet but trailer or ute will probably have room for 2 bikes,;)
If anyone is undecided due to costs it will be way cheaper to share.

ozkat
15-06-2006, 07:40 PM
Hey Booster, i think Turbokat was thinking about hiring a dual cab truck, that way 6 or 7 could split the cost and make it much cheaper. Mabe turbo could shed some more light on this.

TurboKat
15-06-2006, 08:26 PM
Yeah, that's what I was thinking but need some definate confirmations before going ahead.
Deano's still hurting from being bitch slapped clean off the racetrack last weekend :D
Rosco's scared to race me 'coz he knows deep down that green is mean. [:o)]
Foxy will still be too hungover from the GP the weekend before & can't get 2 leave passes in a row 'coz Kim wears the pants ;)
Iceman is using some LAMEARSE excuse about just having a baby [V]
God has a perfectly good Gixer & numerous Bimotas to play with but has been conspicuous by his silence. [?]
Jack (Mike) has about 27 hot bikes at his disposal so has no excuse. [8D]
Booster is a REAL man & is keen.:)
Gibbo - well I discussed it with him at Rosco's shindig but I was too pissed to remember what he said. :(
KevKatana seems to be a dragracer so should be keen :D
Doc has a perfectly good GSXR 11 & therefore no excuse ;)
JoJo is keen I think & her Gixer should be well finished by then. [:X]
Shano has 3 750cc+ bikes to choose from but he probly won't be able to go without sex for 2 weekends in a row [:I]
What about the rest of you Vic's [?] Russ? Deafwish? Slugie? Oldskool? Unsane? Totaldamage? Pnut? who else? what's your excuses?
Time to prove you are a MAN & that you don't wear frilly knickers & squat to piss [:I][:o)]

Booster

Dualie would be good[:p]

Any more light from Turbokat and we would all be blinded:D

Hey Turbo,

Don't forget the mighty Daytona!

Work continues to be mental - too many lazy dealers around the countryside that I have to keep visitin to "encourage" them to deal - and so I cannot give yes/no re: straightliners.

If I can it will be a last minute kinda thing.

Sorry.

17-06-2006, 07:54 PM
its a non religeous event,so you^^^ wont be missed.

Hey Turbo whats happening with this any more plans yet? Am very keen to go but wanna find out what cost involved Got the baby sitter arranged and everything lol

TurboKat

He'ey Jo (where you goin with that gun in your hand?)
I haven't had any 100% "I'm ins" yet, everyone seems to be waiting 'til the last minute [V] Some people I've spoken to expressed concern about it being the w/e after the GP & I can understand that, we'll just hafta play it by ear & maybe make a decision a couple of weeks beforehand if it comes to that.
Hopefully, there'll still be some spots available.
If there were say, 5 or 6 of us, we could do it in a truck & 1 car at a guess, it'd probly cost $3-400 each (3 days truck hire, piss, fuel, food, race entry, accomodation for Fri & Sat night)
3 ton Pan (box) is $95/day, fits 5 bikes & gear & 3 in the front.
A twincab pan would be ideal but I'm having trouble tracking one down.
Look everyone - Jo's keen & SHE'S A GIRL.
All Victorian ASF members, have a feel between your legs ......... feel those lumps? They're called TESTICLES [:0] use 'em & come to Straightliners & do some Dragracing, at the end of the day, you'll look like this :D I personally guarantee it ;)

The dual cab / truck sounds a good idea.
Anyone booked up accomodation yet ?

Iceman
27-08-2006, 01:26 PM
Seeing as it's only a month away we probably should start to get our shit together.

Who's definatly going, when are we leaving and how are we all getting there?

Turbokat are you still keen on getting a truck or something similar?

sharky
27-08-2006, 02:42 PM
As posted elsewhere I don't know if I will have the bike ready on time, usual stuff work, money etc (just ordered 2 new tyres, brake and clutch lines...ouch !!)
I'm all paid up but maybe looking to share a vehicle.
Who's staying where ?

27-08-2006, 03:49 PM

Gotta make sure the bbq's got gas, chops ordered etc.....

Got a real garage now, so emergency repairs etc can be catered for.

It seem's Booster, Sharky and myself are the only Victorians going. We'll need to organize something soon.

anyone need to camp here for the night?

TurboKat
06-09-2006, 10:14 PM
Well, the idea of hiring a truck is out, the extra Ks needed would have made it insanely expensive. Deano & I then decided that we'd chuck the bikes in his ute & head up, but his work & financial commitments fucked that up so now I have to make alternative arrangements. I want to get there preferably with but possibly without a bike to run so might have to consider just spectating if I can't sort something soon.
Have you country boys (Ice, Sharky & Booster) organised anything yet?

sharky
07-09-2006, 06:54 AM
I'm out..:(..:(..[V]
The starter clutch has completely shat itself and that means engine out, crankcase's split and $3-400 of parts !!!
That blows my budget for the w/e.....

Booster
07-09-2006, 08:13 AM
I'm taking the ute up and leaving Wed, Have to be in Brissy on Fri.
Thought i may be able to fit 2 bikes in the ute but that seems unlikely when i look at the other stuff that needs to go like toolbox ,spare tire, fuel, leathers, clothes, passenger.etc

07-09-2006, 08:40 AM
Why can't you ride up Turbo? And if you can ride it there, you can play on the runway.

Iceman
07-09-2006, 04:19 PM
I don't give a fuck how I get there or who I travel with. At this stage the only plan I've made is to leave here at some stage and to get there either Friday night or early Saturday morn'n.

I'm open to suggestions.

07-09-2006, 04:36 PM
I'm thinking of leaving the ACT on Friday morning, for one run straight through.............hopefully, or Thursday arvo with a stop along the way around Sydney/Newie way

You're welcome to stay Wednesday/Thursday night if you want Ice.

I have a trailer i could probably put on the ute for Turbokat but only seating room for the trip up and my leaving mid week may be a prob.

07-09-2006, 07:12 PM
Claire rang me today, still hasnt had the offspring yet, she'll be spending 5 days at Maitland Private Hospital after the ordeal so she should be home by then.Ill let her know you asked Mark.

I've checked on 'route planner' and it says 1380K from Benalla. So say a round trip of 2700K at 10 litre/100K, thats 270 Litres @ $1.50 = $400 ish.
Not too bad split 3 ways...

by the way what is canberra 'sposed to mean again...?

08-09-2006, 11:37 AM
Cunt of a place
Assholes live here
Nancies fags and poofs too
Bloody politicians everywhere
Everywhere else is better than here
Ride straight on past, that's what most sensible people do
Run past, if you don't have a fast bike
Assholes live here (there's so many it needed repeating)

And I was actually thinking more along the lines of old Oxford St queens [:X][:0]

On ya Hooligan, got any ride schedule yet?

Not yet Chalk. I'm going to the GP, then back to sydney, couple of days at home, then straightliners. I just looked it up on where is, it's 7hrs 58mins syd to evans head up the pac hwy (longer if we have some fun). You thinking one day or two, considering i can't get booked again?

08-09-2006, 03:12 PM
I was thinking bout Friday, as far as poss, with a short run into Evan's Head on Saturday. Sydney's close enough that I could do it Thursday night if need be.

If we take the back roads, we'll be safer from plod, and maybe make up some time :).

I'm still flexible at this stage, if there's a meet up in Sydney then I'll join with that, else I'll go play on the Putty, and look for a meet up in Newie.

hooligan
08-09-2006, 04:57 PM

I'm in newtown, at the end of the princes hwy/start of king st. The more people we go up with the better (even if they are victorians:D).

10-09-2006, 10:44 AM
Good pubs in Newtown, at least there used to be a couple of..... a few....... quite some years ag........ when I was younger :D

10-09-2006, 10:50 AM
Hey Sharky, did you get my replies to you're email? Just noticed a couple of bounce backs from you're email address (I did the reply thing and all)

Prices on parts from Bikefarm are very good atm, so I'm planning on ordering a riser kit this week, want me to order your lowering kit at the same time?

And Victorians are ok to ride with, apart from their constant bitching about the quality of the roads in NSW :D

10-09-2006, 12:19 PM
Hey chalkster i woulndt mind getting one of those bikefarmmv risers too, interested in going together on post or something? Let me know, can transfer you some cash this week or something.

10-09-2006, 12:39 PM
No worries unsane, I'll order them Mon/Tues. Let me know before hand if you change you're mind, otherwise you're in the order.

Comes to under $85, plus delivery to Aus (which on a single item equals %40 of the item cost, but hopefully Sharky will join in and we can split it 3 ways = risers for under $100).

I am however still going, if Turbokat decides what he is doing we might travel together. Still don't know when I'm leaving, which way I'll go, or what vehicle I shall use.
One thing is for sure, the iceman cometh!

And, yes, I have been waiting ages to work that into a post!

And at least if the RF is unpainted then Ice can claim he's starting to fighter it (hint hint Ice, that machine would make an awsome fighter mate) :)
