ok NOICE! Still though the Germans a worlds apart ( menatally ) than the rest of the world when it comes to engineering stuff for bikes. THEY ARE CRAZY! America still needs to try and cover that Chopper reputation. Hope Angry is doing well over there though..

those fat tyre bikes would actually corner quite well, because the front tyre is matched to the rear(almost)as ya can see in the second foto the rear isnt sitting too high when tucked into a corner.look at the last foto, the orange 1 is using all of the rear tyre and 3/4 of the front, cant expecvt much more than that from a fat profile tyred bike .thats a sic exhaust system on the cbr9.
and, Americans suck.

Just as an overall package, I reckon they big fuck off looking bastard bikes, and I like that. Taking the back wheel to the size of the one above is just a bit too much though.

I would have this bad boy faster than you can say "Who's round is it?":

.....of course, without the bloody road sign number plate.

agreed davo,
taking stu's bike for example

i noticed on the AFR that the rear was worn to the edges, but the front still had massive chicken strips

but i think that the extra mass of the wheels would make the initial turn in force higher, yeah?
so i guess the "theory" behind the styling is to make the rear big to handle the power, then match the front width to suit the rear

just noticed that that pic i posted had yet another of these elusive "air scoops" in the tank
the whole look is really starting to grow on me

Wots the go with these massively wide rear wheels on single sided swingers, does`nt the wheel stick out to the right about 50 mm or so and if so would explain why that bike above looks so tidy in a left hand corner. Typical Yanks looks come before performance

This whole truck tyre thing has really got everyone going by the looks. Speaking from a racing point of view: the only thing you need a front tyre for is to turn in. When you're at speed, a lot of corner steering is done with drift and throttle. Mismatch (front and rear tyre width)is not a real big concern. But on the road steering is very different. Road speed is much less and you don't steer with the rear, you steer with the front. So you'd feel a mismatch a lot more. I reckon Davo's right on the money. And as far as fightering goes, American's are pretty lame.

Actually I've recently gone to extra wide drag bars, and turning in is just so easy. Feel like I can throw the 9 around like a chook chaser now. Real good for chucking the front end up the inside :D
