Plenty of engine there fur shur. [:p]
That's plenty of power for a Semfitty, I wonder how it would stack up in $$ terms against an 11 conversion [?]

Hey Adam, that's real nice.
What's the swingarm ?
How did you go getting the K4 guages to work ?
The K4 speedo would be digital right ?

Cheers

good pick up rocket. water cooled didn't start in aus till 93 therefore we were still getting oil cooled in 92 when the rest of the world was getting watercooled. the swingarm on that bike is the earlier 92/93 model also the wheels arn't the proper 94 mod as they were straight spoke in 94. also the calipers were ment to be 6 pot tokico's. seems like this bike could be a bit of a bitza

Although a standard production model, the GSX-R750SPR was designed to serve also as the Superbike racing platform and boasted performance features direct from the factory racing parts bin. Wide-mouthed TRM40 carburetor, SCAI air intake system, 4-2-1 exhaust system with increased flow, special 6 speed close-ratio gearbox, magnesium engine covers, aluminium water pump, thin-walled 43mm inverted tube front fork lighter and more rigid swing arm of new design, 6 piston brake calipers and ultawide 180/55ZR17 rear tyre graced the R that weighed in 9kg dry lighter than the 1993 production model. The same 1994 model continued to be available in 1995.

Now you're just showing off Deano !!

I'm interested in how you get a 2004 (isn't that what K4 means?) digital speedo to work on a cable drive bike. Unless the water cooled bike GSXR's came out with electronic speedo's maybe ?

I just thought K was thousand (as in Kilo), didn't know the number represented the year? By the way Rocket, I just sent you another email. Aparently you didn't get the other one a couple of weeks back. Check you get this one I just sent and let me know here if you don't. Basically I have what you wanted ready to go but just never heard back from you. No worries mate. We'll sort it.

water cooled are still cable driven.

On the newer gixxers (watercooled onwards) they have a drilled and threaded sprocket shaft.
This normally has a 6mm bolt and large washer in it and acts as a locking device so the sprocket nut dosn't come undone. the K series have a similar set up but the speedo drive runs off a sensor attached to the sprocket cover.
This sensor is attached to the sprocket cover directly inline with the output shaft. The 6mm bolt that goes in the output shaft on the k series holds something similar to an alloy castle nut. This nut when spinning works with the censor to give you a speed reading.
If you go changing wheel/tyre sizes or sprocet ratios then the calibration of the instruments will have to be changed (or you buy a speedo healer).

Dont quote me on this but i am pretty sure this is how it works
