Fines in NSW

How long does it take to receive a fine in the mail from NSW?
I'm still waiting for the one I got coming home from the Fools Run. :(:([V]
It's been just over a month now.

Actually I got booked in NSW on Xmas - it took 2 weeks for the postage reminder to get to my door up here in QLD

Well I got to tell you I ain’t really traffic orientated, but I’ll have a go at this question.

Generally in NSW the cop has 28 days to post the ticket out, so Turbo yours maybe in the mail. Then you have 21 days to pay, if you don’t you get a further 21 days. Or you can elect to plead not guilty at Court.

My tickets are far and few in between, all depending on the fool I’m dealing with. My last ticket would have been late 2004. I gave a paedophile a ticket because he had his spotlights higher than 1.4 metres (off the ground)on the roof of his Hiace van. Petty no, he was a paedophile….

Is there any truth to the rumour that if you send in a cheque to pay the fine but make the cheque out for a dollar more than the fine, then the RTA has to send a refund cheque for a dollar, but if you dont bank the cheque for a dollar, then your licence is unaffected as the transaction hasnt been finalised?

Well let me explain simply. He was on a 1952 BSA Bantam(All of 125cc's of 2 stroke power)and knew that without proof no one would believe it would go that fast....... He promptly paid the fine and has it framed over his bar....
