Whats the story with getting a repairable writeoff registered in QLD? Or for any other state, it might help someone else.

My GS was written off, I had to get a Vehicle Identification Verification Certificate, cost about $300 and took 4-6hrs to do, the down side is if it turns out to have stolen parts you get arrested.

That's what Vic laws are, don't know about up north.

Queensland Inspection Services in Bris are out at Fowles Auction Group, Eagle Farm. Costs $330 for the inspection (I think). You need a Safety Cert and receipts for parts. I haven't been through this yet, but I've heard differing stories about these guys being either totally anal (are they the standard indicators, sir?), to not knowing WTF they're looking at.
