Ive swapped from a standard (cbr 1000 f)twin arm rear swingarm to a VFR 800 single sider but the single sided swingarm setup is really stiff.
the preload is as soft as it will go, the damping is as soft as it will go and the bike feels as though it has no give in the rear at all when I ride it although it does move if i jump on it.
I think maybe the linkage dimensions are wrong. Should I have the same angles and dimensions as the original CBR setup or the VFR donor setup? or just keep fiddling and breaking shit?
Its killing my back and am almost regretting the swap. Its too late to swap it back over as i've modified the frame to suit the arm and trimmed the arm as well.

Hey Phil,i had the same prob, bike was bouncing thru the bends[}:)]Wot i found was the triangular thingy was wanting the shock to respond too fast(yes, the rising rate was wrong)You may wont to check out the shot above[?]Adjustable bones with revised link(CRF450/06);)

Ive gone with the adjustable ends to the bottom of the triangular plates from the vfr setup like yours, just not the link.
You going on the shop ride with Dazz this month? would like to catch you then.

you reckon shorten the length from chassus to bottom link and reshape the pivot from arm mount to allow for clearance to shock mount?
