G'day...

What brought me to this forum, you see, my CBR she is dead. Honda basher or otherwise you've got to understand this bike saved my neck a fair few times (not the last time, however, but it wasn't my fault. I won her off this no good swindler Lando Calrissian, she's the fastest hunk o' junk.. err..) and has been a good steed, hence I couldn't possibly commit her to the trash just because her front end was turned into a face resembling one of those level:20 balrogs you catch your mate in a dark corner of the dancefloor trying to get his arms around after a few too many fermented vegetable juices. I figured the best way to get the old girl back on the road would be to streetfighter her. That's how I found myself here.

Here she is, fresh after the prang.

http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/688830248200437.jpg

I've since stripped her back (yes it was exciting, I like to watch) and have secured a new front end from the US. The engine took a little damage but it was just a cracked case here and a bent lever there, all good.

So hello. Hope to get to know ya's.

Yes, that's Dr.Worm. He's not a real doctor.

Grass has been cut! Though it got alot longer than that before it was finally groomed. That's the bummer about living in a house, in Summer it needs a cut more often than a hairy faced girl on a believe it or not show.

Yeah I've already contacted Mister Alderton. He needs a rolling frame but my forks are still en route. Shouldn't be too much bother even if it is bent, although, note the fork leg has a crack in it so large I've been beating away junkies since I brought her back home. It absorbed quite a bit of force and then gave way, USD forks wouldn't have done that therefore transferring more damage to the frame.

Not the first time she's been down I'll tell you. That's partly why I'm so attached to the old girl.

Hey Saf, welcome aboard mate. Yea, I think these guys are right, she won't handle real good with the front end like that (good for stoppies though). Check the headstock for impact stress mate, that's one thing you don't want to find out as your front end decides to leave the party while you're caning along at a tasty speed.

Never! Suzuki's are made out of cheesecake.

I've had a good long look at it, as have some mates, and it appears to be intact with little to no evidence there was a prang of any description. Most of the impact was taken by the forks and my plums... man o' man did they take some of the force. Lucky they're made of brass, polished to the nth degree.

I'll take some snaps and upload them...

... of the stripped bike you queer minded misanthrope.
