Hi guys i have just finished polishing a shit load of parts for my bike and wanted to know if i should give it a coat of clear paint and how long it would last any help would be great Thanks Rod

im not a fan of clear coating polished alloy, but thats just me.

ive heard it goes yellow after awhile..ben said something about this in a thread months ago i think

Gibbo did the wheels on my 7/11

i think he used glysten or something like that.

not cheap but so far well worth it. it apparently goes hard as fuck.

clear paint wont work cause it has nothing to etch to

gibbo will ge able to shed some more light on this process for you. i will be getting him to do my billet triples soon

pretty sure gibbo got it from his local Bodyshop paint franchise

just go into any auto paint joint with the brand and description and they will soon tell you if they can get it or not.

Glisten Pc is avaliable direct from PPC in warriewood their number is 02 99990122. Just be sure to also get some AP120 which is the etch part of the process & follow the directions exactly as this is the most critical part of the process.
The only thing I don't like about Glisten is that it takes 4 days to harden up enough to put the tyres on.
