OK, back to the flatmates SL230 single.
It won't rev, won't go over 70 klicks (54kilo rider) won't go uphill with me on it (Fat Bastard)
So far we have;
* New Plug
* Cleaned Jets
* Checked Float level
* Cleaned fuel line
* Cleaned fuel filter
* Cleaned/replaced air filter
* Checked tappet adjustment
* Changed Coil
* Compression is 150
It doesn't feel like a fuel/float level problem, I had that on the dirt turd and I know what it feels like. When stationary twist the throttle and the revs rise a bit and then it misfires, coughs, farts and won't rev. seemed like the coil breaking down at revs but that didn't work either.
Any assistance appreciated etc.
cheers,
CJ
Checked all you're earths/connections?
Is it points or electronic ignition? The GPz has the earth for the igniter unit running through the side stand switch, when the switch starts playing up it can have a similar effect as you mention.

water in the fuel? or could be any part of the electrical system including the stator low voltage.
