I like the look of the un-painted motor and thought someone else may like it.

Thats one of the best GSXR1100 fighters ive ever seen. About the only thing i would change is the position of the muffler. A exhaust system similar to what stu has on his bike would siut it better in my opinion. Stunning bike tho.... well done to the owner/builder

most fighters I`ve seen have the frame polished and the motor painted, not the other way round like this.Bastard to keep clean though I`ll bet.

13-04-2006, 07:51 PM
bout time ya put some effort into the 7/12 mate, its only been sittin there fore about 3 years.I have heaps of work to do before im off to the powdercoaters so i'll sit this race out.Lucky 4 me,powdercoating is free,as is polishing.:D.But engine parts aint:(.

Darren- as discussed.

Davo - was thinking about getting gibbo to paint it - would that make it high class?. still got alot of things to buy/make for the old girl.

21-04-2006, 08:44 PM
nah get Sue to paint it mate.Gibbo is just like a 6 year old at a finger painting contest. When's it time to send my clutch cover down?

gibbo
25-04-2006, 07:58 PM
Finally I get my computer back in working order in time to find you guys saying nasty things about me whilst I wasn't looking:(

Deano- I'm every bit as high class as those hookers that Davo frequents[xx(]

Davo- six year old finger painting is now considered modern art, unless that is you're speaking of your new girlfriend[xx(]

Hey GIX, i like those........LSL do something similar.

As far as the flat headlight goes....try a 4x4 accessories shop, u'll be suprised at the stuff they have for lighting.

Most of my engine & lots of other bits on my bike are polished aluminum but unless you are gunna get it chrome plated I would advise against it, cause it's a bitch to keep lookin good especialy when it's raining. Polishing all the time sucks, I recon I've spent more time cleaning my bike than riding it.

seen a good set of lights the other day in sprint auto parts. it had in each light two strips of six LEDS. the guy reckons that they are day driving lights as they are good for being seen but no good for projecting light? has any one used something similar?

So if they are ADR approved does that mean you can get a road worthy with them installed?
