Ive recently been running a computer class for beginners at work and one of the participants just happened to be the mechanic from the local crack dealers.... I mean Suzuki shop :D

Anyway he rings me yesterday lunch time and says... Come on round to the workshop I have something to show you. So looky at what this lucky SOB has bought himself.

Its so rare to see one still packed in the crate I knew you guys would appreciate the novelty. We are standing there talking about after market pipes, power commanders and fender eliminators already and its not even out the box yet. Hes a guy after our own hearts! Anyway gotta love a shiny new Suzuki so enjoy.[8D]

mate that is real nice.I think the guys are refering to the same machine in the blue and white paint scheme. My mate had the same machine gs1000s with the same fairing and we had trouble stayin on the flaming thing above 130.if you backed off too hard she would wobble its head till you got back on the gas.scared the shit outa me.he took that fairing thingy off it and she became an absolute animal.

Don't get me started on GS 1000 S's, I'll get all teary.
My first big bore road bike (at 16) was a blue & white Wes Cooley Replica & I've had 3 of 'em since. I've still got one up the back of the garage in bits with a "for when I get old" tag on it.
I REALLY like that red & white chappie, tastefully modified while retaining the original form - good job.
Dino, you are spot on, the little handlebar mounted bikini caused me some pants fillers at big speeds, the secret was to lower the bottom edge & angle the whole plot downwards a bit, heaps more stable.
Freaky, tell your Bro. to piss the sliders off & get the CV carbs from the later GS's (or GSX's) for a big improvement in all round power & heaps smoother delivery.
AAHH..... memories.

*goes out to garage & stares wistfully at a pile of parts*
