Hey Oz,

Not gospel but I think pretty close,

929 blades were the first with the 17 inch wheels & USD forks (00-01)
919 ran from 96-99
899 ran from 92-95

Headlights - I always thought that they were a single unit.

I may be totally wrong but the 17" CBR front came about from the 1996 maybe 95????? And the head light change to a twin under a solid set up was also from a 95-96...

The 919 came about from 1998 the 929 was 2000 and the 954 was 2001/2002.

Again i could be totally wrong but I was looking to buy one of these as I was in the market when i bought the Z750

If you have a bunch of time on your hands you can always go through the microfiche at

www.bikebandit.com

OEM parts break downs are someplace up in the top left, handy site if you need to find parts and your dealer is a dumbass

ah oz if your worried about or thinking about buying an early one the
front wheel conversion to 17' is an easy one ive just done it.
if you get a 17' wheel off a f3cbr600 or a vfr750 95/96/97 you ncan just bolt it
straight in with the origanal rotors, spacers, and spindal and you also keep the
six spoke front wheel.
If you dont care about the spokes you can use a blackbird wheel(which i used)or a
vtr1000 and i think that a hornet wheel will even bolt in all these also bolt straight in
using origenal rotors,spacers,and spindal
Happy hunting
so its an easy fix and i recon transforms the bike to a better steerer and also when
changing direction it flicks over better and tyre choice is also heaps better.
