Hi been lurking this site a few times and now have finally decided to become a member after a nudge from 3AMcobra and my mechanic at ocd racing. Here's my cbr250rr that's been streetfightered. I'm still on restrictions for another two months however even after that i dont see myself upgrading anytime soon. Streetfightered my bike awhile ago now and havernt regretted one bit.. best decision i've made with regards to spending my money. Since these photos were taken i've had the can stubbied to almost half its size lol and sprayed the engine black. Within a few weeks i've been promised that i will soon have a speed triple fairing installed to tidy up the front a little bit so hopefully i can show everyone my finished ride. Hope to meet you's all soon..

Welcome aboard mr_wombat, this is the bike that inspired my conversion (well, that an unfortunate meeting with the rear end of a ute). Its class.

Hehe, and i see you've been given the usual 250 'kiddie club' welcome hehe, seems like the standard response to any streetfighter below 600cc

I didn't delete anything either, and yes I have had the kiddies corner comment a few times. If they want one, I'll do it, or else you lot can just carry on patronising them. I don't undertand 250's either guys, but if it makes you smile and they're your own style, that's all that matters. Good on ya.

I dunno why my head works different, I was just fuckin' stupid, a bit like I am today, you're right though. The first bike I ever rode was a 600. By 21 I'd had 3 600 Kwakas, one 500 kwak (which we won't talk about) and then bought a shiney new 900RR Fireblade (well, 2nd hand actually - some millionaire prick had shown all his new mates his bike and they weren't impressed anymore, so he got rid of it for whatever was the dog's bollox that week) 2 weeks after they were released (well, the inheritance money had to go somewhere), so as you can see the whole 250 thing passed me by. No disrespect, they're probably great, but I just don't get it!?

Gix11 it's all good man.. i expect those kiddie comments and others like it for riding a 250.. its all apart of the humour.. its like driving an Exel.. you gotta be prepared to take crap for it. I dont intend of upgrading simply because i dont feel the need for it yet and it's cheap to run and i can afford to only pay third party insurance on it. As soon as i graduate and get a full time job thats when ill buy a bike i can afford to pay full comp for and give crap to others that ride 250's :)

As for those who judges my bike as a streetfighter rather than its cc's.. thanks heaps!

My first bike was a honda 400 super sport.that I worked the shit outa till the clutch slipped like buggery.my mates had 900 rollerdoors and this thing got em to 140.guess that ranks me as another that didn`t get the 250 thing till later when a green KR1 made me laugh till every 6000k`s when it would make me cry.

Mate you're only limited by your imagination so go nuts. If i had listened to what the critics said about turning my bike into a naked then i wouldve been stuck with the old boring faired bike.

I reckon everyone has to start somwhere and it has got to be better than stock, who gives a toss what you ride as long as it has two wheels. I have a sweet little 250 tzr 88 with a ttr 350 in it so that must make me a total dick. Race anyone here round a carpark or go kart track on it.

Lets just hope theses guys dont start fightering there next bikes as well as these or we are all screwed.

Viva the 250 streetfighter.

Maybe a new term is needed instead of streetfighter maybe enthusiastic fighter or something.

why, its still a streetfighter, they are not restricted by engine capacity only by imagination,

i have a gsxr to fighter myself, and its a 400, every man and his dog has a 750 so i thought i would be a bit different (probably why i ride a zrx1200)

i also had a xj400z yammy that i fightered (especially as i had to build a new subframe for it)

go tin and as my old man says 'non illigitmous corburundum'
