I'm thinking of getting a coupla gallons of sweet sherry and pulling the 1127 apart.

My questions are

Apart from os pistons and boring, what else should I spend my $$$ on?
Valves? Porting? Cams? GPZ900 moteur? Jenny Craig?

deposit on a green bike. with sandpaper tyres so you can use the rubber road to the white coat.

I`ve done my time on green machines and they always seem to go POP bang crunch when I am the furthest distance from home.I also like my bike to start in the morning so I don`t own a honda.

I'd be going with slightly higher compression pistons, adjustable cam sprockets & jetting (dyno) big gains can be had with little money & careful setup. Build/tune for strong midrange torque, that's where we spend the most time (4000 - 7000) on the road, so you'll be able to make the best use of any increases.
Is that worth 2 cents ?

Thanks for the replies guys. I might give it a run at the drags on Fri or Sat then pull it down.

I've got the Serco (Wiseco) Catalogue and I've emailed JE about pistons. Who makes cams (apart from Yoshi)? That Serco webpage is a bit of a grunter to navigate...
