why no carbon?

underseat wouldnt that be the go due to less radiant heat??

micron make some pretty small oval car silencers that would be perfect for undertail conversions, especially if hidden in the tail piece, about 220mm long by 120mm wide by 75mm deep.

how much difference does having a muffeler that doesn't suit the bike make to proformance and tuning. i always thought it made a big difference but if your chucking any old thing on there it must not

AS long as you can tune the bike to the best performance with no real loss then i rekon ya sweet

Have a proper read mate, under the bike not the seat. Could you do something like Stu's CBR?

i think he was suggesting looking into using a underseat style muffler as a can for being slung under the bike, ive looking into this myself, as i dont have a lot of room there, and they seem to be made fairly compactly.

cheers.joe.

I dunno how the CF is going to hold up to the heat from both the engine and the exhaust with even less air flow than it would be getting under the tail.

I've seen some cans come back to the shop where the carbon is all chewed to shit cuz of heat from race quads and dirt bikes, it just doesn't last....

Why not just get the surrounding area ceramic sprayed. That protects the surrounding area from the heat. You can use any can u want then.

Carbon would perish on the belly of the bike. would look good, but if you got the coin to back up the looks ever month or so.....

I meant getting smacked around stone hits and shit like that, its abit expensive and too much fuking around to risk smashin it up
