I nearly drove myself insane tonight doing the conversion. (my Mrs now wont talk to me and the kids wont come near me) Anyway i used standard swingarm and NO offset front sproket, standards Katana caliper and bracket. So it can be done. Clearance is tight. Anyway if anyone is interested let me know and ill save you from going nuts.

WOW, I didn't think it could be done without an offset front sprocket!
You didn't move the rear wheel off center like the Harley wackers do did you?
Tell us all.
Oh yeah, & pics too.

Turbokat the rear wheel is centred perfectly. and you do have to choose your rear tyre carefully. not all 180 tyres are the same width.

You mean there's enough room for the 180 without an offset front sprocket & without having the wheel off centre? So did you have to space the rear sprocket off the carrier?

errr,

So if you didn't offset your front sprocket...how far out is your chain run?

I'm not being flippant oz, but I put a new 180 rear Viper in mine (replacing the 180 already in it) and the fucking chain hit the tyre. Had to swap it for a 170 Pilot power to make it work

On the up side...it drops in even better now[8D]
