Or should I put the R6 fairing on?

I had my heart set on the R6, but after seeing it naked, the guys at work reckon I should just tidy it up and leave it naked. Thats idea's growing on me now...........

Wadaya think??

Go with the tail, tidy'n up the sub fame would look pretty cool but I think you'll find it will be alot more work than you expected to get it right.

Tail all the way mate. It points to the back wheel saying "Eat this". Piss that can off for a small little number and the end will look way cool. The subframe only look gives it a chopper feel instead. If that's what you want then go for it, but I'm with the fellas on this one. (oh, and leave that pillion peg/exhaust hanger off, that's why the second picture looks so much tidier)

NAH Fuck the R6 tailunit off into the bin. Find a place that does big Fibreglass jobs, boats cars etc. Ask,em if you can go through their industrial bin (there will be heaps of stuff in there) Grab as much as you can carry ie. flat panels etc. then start cutting bits to suit your subframe, glue it together when it looks good and take it back to the fibreglass place and ask them to glass stich it together. then drill and paint. if it doesnt work throw it away and start again. At least you get something original and i think thats what your looking for.

I'm with ozkat on this one, either start from scratch and build a tail or modify the r6 (or another tail) to suit your own taste, tail light. This way you will have something unique.

Here is how my tail section started out.

After some chopping and fiberglassing.

OK, well that was a pretty clear answer! Thanks Guys for all your advise.

Yeah Gix, the can and hanger/pillion peg was always going to get canned, but I have to ride the sucker to work (no car) so certain bits have to stay on temporarily.

Geezus Ozkat! High expectations mate! lol Love your creativity tho. My verdict is that I'll shorten the R6 tail as much as possible to maintain that "Chew on this fat fucker of a tyre" look, then cut the centre bit at the back out, leaving me with two points. Then I'll seal it off with some scavenged bits from the original CBR tail, leaving a nice space for a carbon oval can to stick out between them.

That'll be original enuf for my first fighter effort :D
