Hello im new to this site ive been looking at it for some time and finally decided to say gday.

Ive never riden before but came across this site and it got me interested in bikes so i went and brought myself one.

The bike that i brought is a gn250 its actually the fastest 250 you can buy thats what the guy told me and he seemed pretty honest so i had no reson to doubt him because he had a few bikes in his garage and sounded like he knew his shit.

What i wanted to ask is is it like an auto car when you just put it in gear and then just turn the throttle to go or is it like a stick shift because i havnt driven one of them so im not sure the guy i brought it off dropped the bike off and said hed come around on the weekend and show me how to ride it but that was three weeks ago and im sick of trying to call him i think he doesnt want to help me after i gave him the $4000 for his bike.

I love the bike i go and sit on it every night in the garadge with my helmet and jacket on and think of riding the highways its going to be great.

It should be a really nice cutome bike to the shape and the lines of it are probly the best for a 250.

Do you guys have a tattoo artist you go to because i think if im going to be a bikie i should get one of them to.

Whilst sitting on the bike in the garage make sure you put a television and dvd player in front of you so you can watch ghostrider dvds, this has been proven in university tests as the best way to learn how to ride a motorcycle;)
PS. Make sure you disregard the law about wearing helmets, for you there is no need[}:)]

Welcome aboard Hi Bye.

It is not very often we get non-riders here so some of your questions may seem silly to some members.

Auto gearbox answer - NO, can't, won't, shouldn't be done.

My advice to you before you go spending a shit load of cash on your pride and joy, is that you learn how to ride first. Go to your local motor vehicle registrating office, weather it be RTA, Vicroads, DMV, or what ever. Ask them when you can get your motorcycle licence test done. These places quite often run a full day training session on the basics of motorcycling before the test.

There's a fair chance you will fall off your bike within the first 12 months of being on the road, so the modifications can come as you replace all the broken bits.

As far as getting a tattoo is concerned, not all motorcyclist have tattoos so don't feel the need to get one just to fit in. You never know you might decide in a year or so that bikes aren't your thing and sell it. Tattoos are permanent remember. They don't wash off.

You are also going to have to tough'n the fuck up! If some one is hanging shit on you tell them to fuck off.

dont worry mate when i bought my first bike [back when they still had gas lamps]lol it was a FS1-E[a 50cc moped ]
this bike had an 'all down ' gearbox ie u shifted down for all 4 gears but id learnt on a bike that had 1 down and four up [which is what vast majority of bikes have] wheni took the bike back to the dealer and spat the dummy he creased up showed me the little diagram cast into the casing above the gearshift and told me to fuk off and stop annoyin him.

what uve bought is a factory custom bike [loosely styled along the same lines as a chopper] if ur really into that style of bike its not what streetfighters are all about ..get hold of a magazine called streetfighter from the uk itll fill u in a bit more..as for tats ...like ice said dont do it untill ur absolutely fukin sure u want one .u could maybe try temp[airbrushed on] tats to give u an idea what ud be livin with

There a couple of auto bikes out there yours maybe a semi auto you may need to use the clutch just to start off then its an auto from then on , just try this for me grab ya camera (you alway want to get your first ride so you can post it up later) then go out get on and start your bike make sure the way is clear pull in the clutch bring the revs up 6g should be right then just let the clutch go and see what happens you should be right. If not them you got a manual . Hope that helps

Maybe he shoulda got a CT110... as well as it being able to be ridden without a clutch (which seems to be Hi's main worry) then hed be DAMO's mate with a honda :D:D lmfao
