How the fuck do you get the riders seat off???? I'm putting on a ventura rack for the April Fools run and Im fucked if I can find how the riders seat is attached. I tell you it was so much easier with the SV.

That's cool, I actually found the bolt, then found where it was written in the manual, now to find a tool that can actually do the job!!!!

There's these things you can borrow from yer mates.....................It's called a shifter, works on wide range of nuts and bolts.

Or you could try a socket set, but you might need a weeks training in how to put it together.

:)

So you've never seen where the bolt is then?? Found an extension for my ratchet so all is good. Took about an how to get the tail/under tray/mud guard off and the cross member for the ventura rack in only to discover that the left hand side bracket hole centers are out by a good 5-10mm!!! So still no bloody rack, at least the pain in the arse parts done though.

Good on ya mate.
I replaced my exhaust on the weekend, picked up an excellent condition, light weight 4-1 from the local wreckers on Friday for $200. But had to drain and remove the radiator and shit to fit it, took half of Saturday.
But while I was at it, and since I had to use the grinder to remove some of the mounting bolts, I decided to 'slot' the mounts on my gearsack. Only takes 2 minutes mount or remove now.

Did think about giving you a call Clair, was having one of those fucked up head going at a hundred miles and hour not thinking about the shit at hand days. After I calmed down had smoke and something to drink, I found the pain in the arse bolt I needed to find.

it would only be a pain in the arse if it came undone, rammed up thru the seat and gave you a little 'screw' in the bum hole...
:-) i am still trying to get there to the april fools run (in the 4 wheel thingy). hope to see you there!

Christ, how long's the thing been in the shop for Claire?

Be quicker to burn down the shop and buy a new one on insurance wouldn't it?
