It's actually an entire counter culture thing in Tokyo. I was in Tokyo in 92' with work and bumped into a meeting of these people. There were several hundred bikes just like this one and about a thousand men & women dressed like Boy George's asian love child. The irony is that most of the bikes they were ridng were 70's Jap classics(CB750, Z1, GS750 & RD350) that were re-imported from Australia to get around the domestic bike sales capacity laws.... Thats were alot of stock cheap 60's ,70's & 80's Jap bikes ended up and partly why it's so hard to find a cheap decent bike now. So that GS or CB you rode around on in the 70's may just have survived to be pimped by a Philipino Prostitute Wannabe in Tokyo......
