View Full Version : I need a new clutch!
The clutch in my Z has shit itself after only 4,500kms :(
Can anyone tell me what I should replace it with? I am assuming there are different brands and types available. The bike is used mainly for track days, a few drag meets and a little bit of weekend riding.
Are they easy enough to change?
Thanks
Matt

clutch is not normally covered by warranty as its a ware and tear item, its like that with cars at least.
Yeah no warranty, they will only replace it if it is under 2000kms and is due to a 'manufacturing fault'

Drag racing may be the cause of that little mishap. They're easy to replace mate. I never go all out with funky stuff and just get aftermarket replacement plates. Springs in a newsish model like yours should be fine. If you don't use it everyday and have a car, just pull it apart and look at the state of your plates.

I use Goodridge plates in Judge & they seem to be lasting well with no slippage yet.John Stamnas has em in stock usually 07 5447 7411
