Been looking about for a Yoshi can for Ellie's SV.
Stainless Tri-oval with a link pipe.

Normal sort of price seems to be $700 / $800AU.

On what seems like a legit site on the USA-Ebay they are
$318US or $431AU.

Should be insured if paying by credit card, just add P&P.
(and maybe import tax)

Any advise ?
Good idea ?
Dont risk it ?

What you think guys ?

Send Angry Guy an Email and see if he can point you to one of his suppliers

You shouldn't have to pay import duty/tax. The limit is now $1000 so you should come in well under that. Make sure you check their shipping costs before ordering and check if you can insure it for a few more dollars.

Then compare prices/shipping with

I was recommended this store by someone who was very happy with price/shipping. I ended up not buying a pipe...and spending my money on another bike

First up his ad says he will only ship within the USA (goodluck convincing him otherwise as most wont post to Australia) Open a paypal account linked to your credit card. also insist on 7day express airmail. Cause if they send it by sea expect it to take 3 months. it used to cost me $65.00au to get mufflers sent here by 7day airmail from the US. $318 seems a bit steep compared to what ive paid for some of the mufflers ive bought from OS. also ive never paid any import duty and ive imported over 50 mufflers. just be aware if you import a yoshi can and have a problem with it ( i blew the guts out of 3 yoshi cans on my 1340) the Australian distributor wont even talk to you. 99% of new mufflers sold on ebay are 2nds anyway.

$88 FOR FITTING !!! :(
It only takes 15 minutes !
If you'd done a few, you could do it in under 10.
At $900, you'd reckon they'd fit it for nothing.

Yeah, wasnt planning on paying $88 for 1 saw cut and 2 bolts,
just thought it was funny to post.
Same dealer wanted $40 (half hour) to lift the tank on my Busa
and plug a TRE into the loom, "Sorry sir- minimum labour is half
an hour" :D:D:D Took me less than 5 minutes including removing
fingerprints from the tank after. Yeah Yeah, I know, poor old bike shops struggling to survive ;)
