Wreckers for a replacement would be cheaper possibly

spray putty does wonders though - like you had any idea until stripped.........

Just be careful that they dont charge to much a good second hand tank will only cost you about 300/350 so if its going to be close to that get a second hand one.;)

Oh by the way if your saying to yourself how the fuck do i know if the second hand one isnt damaged as well[?]

Little trick take a fridge magnet with you if it dont stick its full of bog if it does it should be sweet:D

Looks like one of the tanks I have in the shed. Looks exactly like one except for the whole metal acne thing that is. $80 + postage and it's yours.

As someone who's looking at a crashed bike as a starting point for a fighter, I'm curious as to what's been done to this. Can someone in the know give me a quick run down on the tank above, and it's likely history? Looks to me like there's been a big dent in the tank, which has been beaten out with a ball-pein hammer, then bogged over to give a surface finish. If so, what are the implications of this? ie, potential problems, legalities etc. Cheers.

Thats pretty much wHat has happened the only prob that I am having is the fact that some of the repair has fallen through leaving a couple of holes which now have to be migged up but as Gibbo has kindly offered his time and talent Im sure it will be like new.............
Cheers heaps Chopa I would have jumped on it except I have already been to see Gibbo and I would not be suprised if its half finished

Mate, that's fuck all damage, I've repaired & used much worse than that. Think yourself lucky the previous owner bothered knocking the ding back out rather than just slapping half a kilo of bog in it like some I've seen. Gibbo will give it a skim of filler & you'll be sweet as a nut.
