88/750 nice handlers, the 87 was the best of the first 1100`s.they were of better machining quality.Any advice required mate,I`m happy to give (have owned one)
my last engine had serious numbers at the back wheel.

Ben, ya might have to post the photos for me. I just tried and couldn't 'cause I'm stupid. Besides, your pics were taken before it got knocked over this morning ( I picked the bike up after a dyno run, parked it behind work, and some cocksucker in a van knocked it over. It's on security vid, though.)

Yeah that's it Gix.
You'll notice the lack of wiring coming from the switchgear, that's cause it runs through the bars for that neat look. Bloody Hooligan doesn't mind settin me a challenge. He turns up with a box of bits (Digi beast dash & switchgear "with Germglish instructions",datatool revlights,Remote ignition,a bunch of led indicators,FZ6 headlight & a bunch of other switches n stuff)& says chuck em at me fighter that has a combo of 7&11 wiring.......Oh & make it look neat would ya. My head is still spinnin ( I need a holiday!)

From memory the first 11s were up against a very good bike in the sales charts. The FZR1100 a bike that was not as nice to look at as the SUZI but on the road & in the publications of the day was APPARENTLY a better bike.[:D[?][8D]Suzuki did not wont to revamp the model & only changed the steeribg on the bikes;)the engines were no different but they HANDLED worlds apart.86 turned in slow:)87 was neutral;)& 88 was quiker than the rest[:p]they also had & still produce what they call "HALF" models to try & beat the other manufacturers before they release next years bike thats why some 88s had 18" wheels & some 17" wheels:( NUFIN wrong with the bikes its just that before they released the revamped 89 engine some of the casting clean up was just left there[V]
So when you go to do ya fist oil change there will be more "pick up"[:0]inspection of your pistons will reveal this[8)]

There wasn't too much damage too the bike. The extra wide renthals took half of the impact, the ex ceations rearsets took the other half, with only scratches on footpeg, bar end, one engine case, and a rubber gasket on the can. Now it's got "character".
Exben, I'm just the ideas man, and you're the one who suggested the remote igntion and hidden wiring.

Hey Dino. Good to hear from you mate, you've been missing for a while! Love the old tool story. That's part of what the shirts were for, pissing off old fuckers who've wasted their lives being dull and now have nothing better to do than moan because they've just realised that fact. Nice one mate. Good to hear you're still out there and haven't left us.

Hello to all the long term members!, Yes thats right, I'm a NEWBIE to this forum,Just introducing myself first, i ride a 95 ZX6R, and its one dam reliable bike, anyway i am thinkng of bolting a turbo under the skin, yes i have seen it done before, in real life,
and on the net
but since i live in Brisbane Q.L.D, there are not to many places that know much about it, Just wondering if anyone would know of someone i could get incontact with so i know what i'm up against $$$$ money wise. The bike is going to be a custom bike soon as the resale of it isn't going to be worth it soon.

Thanks for your time, i will be frequenting the forums

Alright mate? I noticed you added the same message 3 times. I deleted two of them mate as the guys will see this one for sure. Exben's got a turbo on a ZX if I remember and Ozkat is adding one to his GSXR at the moment. They'll have some advice for you.

Ninja I don't want to sound offputting but I hope you've got either
(a) Good mechanical knowledge & plenty of spare time
or
(b) Deep pockets & lots of patience.
Firstly I've never "seen" a turbo run well with carbs ( although Ozkat may prove me wrong on that) so you'll need to convert EFI & that will add bout $2000 to the conversion straight away.To get a shop to do the job for you will cost $10000+.I have seen installations done for as little as $1000 by doityourselfers but these guys have always had excellent mechanical knowledge & lots of ingenuity (Oh & were good at scavenging/swapping/doindeals)
Is this you?
If not my advice would be to save some more cash a buy a bike that already has EFI , then do the conversion on that.
It will save you a lot of headaches.
Cheers
