Keeps the gasses hot and expanded so keeps the gas speed up

She`ll run cooler but then hotter.[:o)]

So why then are performance headers single skinned and thinner than an Olsen twin?

Rexie, you have built yourself a HOTROD there mate [:p] Fast Eddie would be proud.
I like that better than the ZRX. [^]

its for weight. asbestos wrap is lighter then steel, it also keeps heat away from other components. Most factory headers that are tubes are 16-18ga which is pretty thick.

bikes lookin great rexie, you say thats a bandit front end? looks just like the gsxr front end ive got. Could you do me a favor when you get a moment? id like to know how long the fork legs are, from axle to the top, roughly, and myabe fork diameter.

thanks:)

fork diameter is 43mm and length from centre of axle to top is 770mm. the 89 1100 front end i had on it was 43mm dia and 750mm length. bandit triples have less offset as well but i still have the gsxr triples there.bandit forks only have damping adj on top of forks no preload or rebound damping where gsxr forks have the lot.

As one Kawasaki owner to another.......what are you going to do with the old brake lines????? Yes I do.....How much??? "I'll send em up to ya mate, we can work something out when I get up there in May!!"

thanks for the numbers rexie. What im thining(if i ever need it) is to use the inner fork tubes, keep the dampning stuff in order just longer tubes and springs to give a bit more front ride height. I dont need it at the moment but maybe for another bike;)

That fuckin' bike should have been at the AFR! I was looking forward to it, but you show up on a chicken chaser instead. Yea yea, it did this and it did that but shit mate, that thing looks great. I'm with Daz - that makes the ZRX look boring. never thought I'd say that but shit, it's loads better! Old school muscle bike.

Beauty Bloke! Thanks. Front brakelines are second last on the 'must do'list.
That's some kinda editing you've done on your "muffler"!
Might have to do something similar on the turbo, but maybe one stickin out each side. The local wreckers have got heaps of stock Hardly Rideable hot dogs, they look like possible suspects.....
